Daryn is a 53-year-old former professional longboard surfer, widely known for his traditional approach to surfing and exceptional noseriding ability. While longboarding has been at the heart of his competitive career, he has always enjoyed riding boards of all shapes, sizes and styles.

COMPETITIVE SURFING HISTORY
Over the course of his career, Daryn achieved more than 100 contest victories in a wide range of conditions throughout New Zealand and Australia. He has held multiple New Zealand national titles, defeated world champions and been ranked as high as ninth in the world. In 2024, Daryn competed in his final professional-level international event, placing equal seventh alongside 2025 World Longboard Champion Kai Ellis-Flint.
